A fire on Friday at a Columbia apartment complex took about 50 firefighters to battle and displaced 15 people.
No injuries were reported.
The Columbia Fire Department showed up to the "massive" fire at the Columbia Garden Apartments on Plowden Road at about 9 p.m, a department spokesperson said. Fire was burning through the second-story windows and roof.
Firefighters called the blaze in as a two-alarm fire, prompting backup firefighters to come in. After the fire was extinguished, the complex had "significant damages," the department said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Columbia Garden Apartments are off S. Beltline Boulevard near the S. Kilbourne neighborhood.
