SC FFs Battle Heavy Fire at 2-Alarm Apartment Fire

Firefighter with the Columbia-Richland Fire Department battled a two-alarm fire that caused heavy damage to an apartment building

Columbia-Richland firefighter battled a two-alarm fire that caused significant damage to at least half of an apartment building.

Firefighters were called to a fire in the Hampton Greene Apartment Homes just after 3:15 p.m.

Fire crews arrived to find fire spreading from the second floor of one building and going into the attic, according to a tweet by the Columbia-Richland Fire Department.

The Fort Jackson Fire Department was called to the scene to assist with operations. No injuries were reported.
