Two Airlifted from NJ Condominium Fire

Clinton firefighters battled a massive blaze in a condominium that sent three occupants to the hospital for injuries.

The Clinton Fire Department and surrounding agencies battled a large blaze at the Union Hill Condominiums that heavily damaged one building and sent three occupants to the hospital, two by air ambulance.

Crews were called to the blaze early Sunday with reports of multiple occupants trapped in the building.

Firefighters arrived to heavy fire conditions with multiple victims both inside and outside of the structure. Crews then initiated fire control and rescue operations, according to a press release by the Clinton Fire Department.

A second alarm was called for additional resources in addition to the North County Tender Task Force.

Two patients were flown via air ambulance to a local hospital with burns and trauma injuries, an additional occupant was sent to the hospital via ground ambulance.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
