Woman Killed in MD House Fire

One woman died in a fire that occurred in the basement of a residence in Reisterstown on Friday night, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.
The department responded to a two-alarm fire in the 13400 block of Old Hanover Road at about 7:50 p.m. and discovered the victim at about 8:21 p.m., said department spokesman Captain Len Stewart.
The fire was confined to the basement and the victim, who was only identified as an elderly woman Friday night, was deceased when firefighters found her, Stewart said. The woman was the only person in the residence at the time of the fire, he said.
The fire was placed under control at 8:50 p.m., Stewart said.
The department is investigating the incident.
