Dec. 12—A firefighter was electrified Sunday evening while battling a blaze at a mobile home near the Katy Country Estates subdivision, officials said.
The Cypress Fairbanks Fire Department around 6 p.m. Sunday responded to a report of a fire on Saddlewood Drive and found a mobile home that had been engulfed in flames, officials told On Scene reporters.First responders managed to get everyone out of the home without injuries but a firefighter was electrified, meaning he was shocked with electricity but he survived, so the term "electrocution" does not apply.
The firefighter was transported to a hospital where his condition was stabilized.
The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office was investigating the cause of the fire.___
