Rapidly Deployable HazMat Kit Available From Md. Company

Hazmat training company, HazMatIQ is launching a rapidly deployable, Stay Alive Five equipment Kit at the 2013 Hotzone Conference Oct. 17-19, Booth 204/ 206.

The S.A.F.e Kit provides responders with five pieces of basic detection equipment required to operate in the hot zone of hazmat/CBRN incidents. The S.A.F.e kit compliments the HazMatIQ response system by providing the responder with Stay Alive Five equipment in a mission ready kit.

The S.A.F.e Kit includes a: Radmeter, F Paper, pH paper, Temp Gun and LEL Meter. This rapidly deployable kit is designed to be stand-alone, and holds all the necessary supporting equipment including bump gas, chargers, and HazMatIQ charts.

The 4-step HazMatIQ response system is built on the fundamental principle of using meters to detect hazards that our eyes cannot see. The S.A.F.e kits 5 life-saving meters are the RED LIGHT meters identified in the HazMatIQ system, and listed on the HazMatIQ Smart Charts.

"The S.A.F.e Kit will allow responders to be more prepared, decrease their incident response time and ensure responder safety calls where hazards are not visible," said Chris Weir, Director of HazMatIQ Training.

HazMatIQ by Federal Resources mission is to help responders become confident and prepared for any mission they face. Having that goal in mind, HazMatIQ helps responders that have been injured in response incidents with their recovery mission. HazMatIQ by Federal Resources with the support of Rae Systems will be auctioning (2) SAFe Kit's to benefit the Capt. William Dowling Foundation.

Friday, May 31, 2013, personnel from HFD Station 68, including Captain Dowling, responded to a fire in a restaurant at the Southwest Inn hotel off Highway 59 in southwest Houston. A heavy tile roof collapsed trapping Captain Dowling under the burning debris while his crew members perished. (www.captdowlinghfd.org).

Announcements of the winning bidder will be made on the Federal Resources Facebook and Twitter pages on November 1, 2013.
