Five Georgia firefighters were hospitalized battling a blaze that burned through three homes Wednesday night.
Macon-Bibb crews responded to the fire at around 9 p.m. in Macon, WMAZ-TV reports. It took firefighters about two hours to extinguish the blaze.
Fire Chief Marvin Riggins told WMAZ that two of the hospitalized firefighters suffered heat and smoke inhalation, two suffered back and neck injuries and one fractured an ankle. All firefighters had been released from the hospital by Thursday morning.
