Six NJ Firefighters Hurt in 5-Alarm House Fire

Raw video shows crews from Patterson, Passaic and Bergen County fighting the blaze, which destroyed three homes and damaged a fourth Tuesday.

Six New Jersey firefighters were hurt battling a five-alarm house fire that spread to several neighboring homes and buildings early Tuesday.

The blaze broke out at around 1:30 a.m., with crews from Patterson, Passaic and Bergen County responding. Flames jumped to the surrounding houses, destroying three of the buildings and damaging a fourth, the Bergen Record reports.

The six firefighters who were hurt suffered heat-related injuries. No other injuries were repored, but nearly 50 residents were displaced by the blaze, according to the Record.
