A Houston firefighter was rescued after becoming trapped by a collapsing roof during a house fire early Tuesday.
The blaze broke out at a two-story home in northwest Houston, KHOU-TV reports. The roof of the house collapsed while crews were battling the fire, and a mayday call went out when a firefighter was trapped by the debris.
The firefighter was rescued after three to four minutes and was treated at the scene. Another firefighter was taken to the hospital with a back injury, according to KHOU.
It took crews nearly 30 minutes to put out the fire, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
