About 100 TX Firefighters Put Out 2-Alarm Blaze
Around 100 Texas firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire at an apaprtment complex late Monday.
The blaze broke out before 10:30 p.m. at the apartments on San Antonio's north side, destroying 13 of 16 units, KSAT-TV reports. Crews faced a variety obstacles fighting the fire, including collapsing walls and floors and windy conditions.
“The challenges that we had tonight were wind. We did have some wind gusts and then maneuvering into an apartment as far as getting these trucks into a tight complex with a lot of trees," Fire Chief Charles Hood told KSAT.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
