MI Firefighter Hospitalized after Ladder Fall

The injury happened while crews from the Prairieville and Delton fire departments battled the house blaze in rural southern Barry Township.

A fall from a ladder while battling a rural blaze sent a Michigan firefighter to the hospital Tuesday.

Crews from Prairieville and Delton responded to the house fire in southern Barry Township, WOOD-TV reports. Damage to the house didn't appear to be serious, according to fire officials.

The injured firefighter was taken to a Kalamazoo hospital. The extent of his injuries or the reason for his fall were not immediately known, WOOD added.
