TX Firefighter Injured in Ladder Fall During House Blaze

The Cy-Fair firefighter suffered an injury to his back after tumbling around six feet from a ladder while wearing breathing equipment battling a blaze Friday.

A Texas firefighter was injured after falling from a ladder while battling a house blaze Friday.

Cy-Fair crews responded to the fire that broke out about 4:45 p.m. in a garage in northwest Harris County, KPRC-TV reports. From the garage, flames quickly spread to the house.

Climbing a ladder at the scene, a firefighter tumbled about six feet and landed on his back while wearing an Air-Pak unit. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, according to KPRC.
