A Garner firefighter was injured in a collapse Monday night as he worked to extinguish a house fire.
The firefighter was transported to WakeMed and is expected to be OK, Garner Chief of Operations Barrett Penny told CBS 17.
The family said security cameras alerted them of smoke that eventually led to the person who was asleep finding “the full front of the home was on fire.”
About 60 firefighters battled the blaze for about two hours before declaring it under control.
