Watch LAFD Crews Battle Apartment Complex Fire

Raw on-scene video shows firefighters battling a blaze that spread to seven units within an apartment complex in the Valley Village section of Los Angeles.
Around 10pm, LAFD responded for a reported apartment fire at 5312 N. Radford Ave. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire showing from multiple apartments units. Firefighters were able to quickly start deploying handlines to douse the flames, as well as using ladders to access the fire in the attic. The fire was quickly brought under control and it took about thirty minutes for knockdown to be achieved. There are a total of seven units with damage and salvage operations were underway to help protect resident's belongings from water damage. Sadly, one cat and one dog were found deceased inside the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
