Rochester, NY, firefighters battled a fire in a vacant 2 ½-story dwelling Sunday. The fire was reported at Hudson Avenue and Warsaw Street around 6:30 p.m. and firefighters found fire on both floors and through the roof of the vacant home.
The building had previously been identified as a structure dangerous to interior firefighting and crews began a defensive attack. An extra engine was called as firefighters used two aerial ladders and several handlines to bring the fire under control.
