Incredible news chopper footage captured a trapped Chicago firefighter leaping from the roof of a burning building to the safety of an adjacent structure.

WGN News reports that the extra-alarm fire broke out around 7 am on Friday in the city's Bridgeport neighborhood and that power lines catching fire complicated the firefight for CFD crews.

As several firefighters scrambled down ladders when smoke and flames began to overtake the roof, one firefighter appears to be trapped with no escape before he leaps to an adjacent building.

Chicago fire officials say all members are accounted for and that four firefighters were transported to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries.
