Watch PA Firefighters Tackle 2-Alarm Rowhome Fire

Feb. 1, 2022
Firefighters in Harrisburg battled a wind driven two-alarm fire in a multi-story rowhome.

Helmet camera footage captured Harrisburg firefighters working a two-alarm fire in a group of rowhomes around noon on Saturday.

Crews arrived on the 600 block of Dauphin Street to find a block-long row of homes with heavy fire in two buildings.

A second alarm was called as firefighters were evacuated from the building and defensive operations were initiated.

The fire started when trash was being burned in a burning barrel during renovation work at an adjacent home. Some of the burning debris caused the vacant house that was adjacent to it to catch fire, Harrisburg Fire Chief Brian Enterline told ABC27.

Firefighters battled the wind-driven blaze for four hours in structures that were vacant or under renovation.
