Rochester firefighters rescued three people during a fire in a boarding house Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the Lyell Avenue building just after 1 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the structure, and found fire on the first floor.
Crews rescued one person from a first floor unit and two from the second floor, according to RochesterFirst.com.
The fire department said the structure had hoarding conditions.
One firefighter was hospitalized with a hand injury.
