Multiple people, including five firefighters, were injured at a three-alarm fire with partial collapse of a dwelling in Brooklyn early Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out around 4:00 a.m., in a two-story home on East 9th Street in Midwood, according to FDNY officials.
Firefighters located a civilian victim who was unconscious and not breathing in the basement and was brought back to life when first responders performed CPR, PIX 11 News reported.
Two of the firefighters sustained injuries when the second floor collapsed to the first floor of the home as crews struggled to work within the cluttered conditions.
Crews were impeded by “heavy clutter conditions” in the house, an FDNY official told PIX 11.
The 67-year-old male resident was taken to a local medical center in critical condition being treated for smoke inhalation.
