A teenage girl was hospitalized with smoke inhalation from a house fire in San Antonio early Thursday morning.

San Antonio firefighters were called to the city’s West Side for a house fire that appeared to have started in the attic then spread through the entire home, News 4 San Antonio reported.

Firefighters arrived to heavy fire conditions through most of the home and deployed multiple handlines to control the flames.

Officials said the seventeen-year-old was hospitalized after suffering from high carbon monoxide levels and severe smoke inhalation.
