CA FFs Tackle 3-Alarm Commercial Fire

May 24, 2022
Orange County Fire Authority and Long Beach firefighters battled a large commercial fire in Los Alamitos.

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to a fire at a large warehouse at 10852 Kyle Street, at about 5:30 a.m.

CBS News Los Angeles reported that firefighters called for a third-alarm at about 6:30 a.m. as the firefight dragged out at the warehouse, that reportedly is the home of a towing company.

Sky 2 also spotted several vehicles and other objects in the parking lot of the building burning. The fire sent up a massive plume of smoke over the area.

According to the OCFA, crews were forced into a defensive attack due to overhead wires and potential collapse due to the volume of water being poured onto the building. A hazmat team was also on scene.

Several engines from Long Beach Fire also worked to help put out the fire and protect neighboring buildings.

The OCFA PIO tweeted out that the surrounding businesses were saved and that no injuries had been reported.
