A Jet Truck driver was killed when the vehicle appears to have exploded during an air show in Battle Creek Saturday.
Officials told WOODTV that the Shockwave Jet Truck was taking part in a pyrotechnic display while it was racing two airplanes when it appeared to roll off the runway and become engulfed in flames.
Witness told the television station that there was an explosion and the truck become engulfed in flames.
Battle Creek firefighters responded and doused the flames but the driver was killed.
The Air Show was shut down for the remainder of the day Saturday and the Federal Aviation Administration was summoned to help with the investigation.
