May 17—Several cars were damaged by a fire at a Mercedes-Benz dealership in The Woodlands, officials said.

Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, The Woodlands firefighters found a car carrier at the dealership along Interstate 45 where several vehicles were on fire, according to a Facebook post by the fire department.

Conroe firefighters also responded to the scene and helped to extinguish the fire, the post states.

Three cars on the transport were damaged as well as two cars nearby, said The Woodlands Fire Chief Palmer Buck.

The fire was not believed to be arson and no injuries were reported, he said.

"What I got my guys (working on was did the fire) start from the car carrier and go to the car or was it the car that started first," Buck said.

The Montgomery County Fire Marshall's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
