Sept. 19, 2023
Princeton, MN Chief Ron Lawrence said the fire started first, followed by the blast.

A house fire and explosion Monday in Isanti County left a woman injured.

Princeton Fire Chief Ron Lawrence said the fire broke out first and was followed by the explosion, WCCO reported.

"When I arrived, one victim was out at the end of the driveway, alive, alert, doing very well," Lawrence said. "She was transported by the ambulance."

Later, however, she was flown to a hospital for treatment of burns.

The cause of the Wayanett Township fire remains under investigation.
