One Injured in Chicago Apartment Building Fire

Chicago firefighters found heavy fire showing from the three-story building.

One person was transported to a hospital following a fire in a three-story apartment building in Chicago.

The 61-year-old man was taken to a local hospital  for chest pain and smoke inhalation, CBS Chicago reported. 

Heavy fire was visible when crews entered the area about 11:30 p.m.

A warming bus was on the scene for the 20 residents  who were evacuated.

The cause remains under investigation.
