Chicago fire officials said no injuries were reported after a mayday was called during a fire Thursday afternoon.
The fire, on North Luna Avenue in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood, was in a 2 1/2-story home.
The mayday was called when firefighters encountered a flashover, according to WGNTV.com.
That radio call prompted the response of more ambulances to the still and box assignment.
