Off-Duty FDNY Firefighter Pulls Person out of Burning Vehicle

FDNY Lt. Rich Cannon was on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn when the fiery wreck occurred.

An off-duty FDNY firefighter happened to be at the right place at the right time early Saturday.

Lt. Rich Cannon ran to help a person trapped in a burning car after a crash along the Belt Parkway.

He managed to pull the person out just before the vehicle went up in flames, abc7 reported.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
