D.C. Fire and EMS firefighters battled a boat fire from the water and shore early Thursday.
While crews were responding to James Creek Marina, they could see heavy fire coming from at least one vessel.
The fire spread and damaged boats anchored on both sides, WJLA reported.
The cause is under investigation.
