A car slammed into a Washington D.C. home, prompting a cave-in rescue assignment on Saturday, July 14. Firefighters arrived at 1709 Foxhall Road N.W. to find a vehicle through the front door of the large, two-story home, trapping the driver inside. The incident also caused structural damage to the house .
First arriving crews secured utilities and searched for occupants in the dwelling. They provided first aid to the driver. Personnel of Rescue Squad 2 removed the car's injured occupant.
An engine, truck, battalion chief, special ops battalion, heavy rescue, and the task force consisting of another heavy rescue, Engine 15, and three cave-in support vehicles responded to the scene.
