Georgia Firefighters Participate in Soldier Family Appreciation Day

There were a number of participants.

Ft. Stewart, Ga. Fire Department Station No. 1 participated in the 2008 Soldier Family Appreciation Day activities.

Safety instruction and presentations included vehicle safety, boating and water safety, DUI prevention, heat injury prevention and soweapons safety.

Organizations from the U.S.Coast Guard,Atlanta Police Department/Motorcycle Squad, Savannah Marine Patrol, Ft. Stewart Police and Fire Departments, U.S.Army Safety Center, Stanley Tools NASCAR Team, U.S. Army Special Forces, Jesup Police Department and the Georgia State Police. Soldiers, civilian employees, and family members attended the event.
