California firefighters used a rescue tool to remove a puppy who had his head stuck in a chain link fence near an elementary school in Lamont.

Kern County firefighters were able to quickly and successfully remove the canine without incident on Monday, and the spry white pup seemed relaxed and carefree after the extrication in a video posted to social media.

Firefighters evaluated the puppy and say he was uninjured and happy to be freed.
