FFs Hop to Rescue WA Wallaby

Graham firefighters assisted a vehicle owner gain access to a wallaby locked in her vehicle.

Firefighters encountered a once-in-a-career "rescue" when they were called out to assist a citizen who was locked out of their vehicle in Graham on Tuesday.

Graham Fire & Rescue firefighters from Engine 93 were dispatched to an emergency lockout and arrived to find a mischievous young wallaby inside the vehicle.

The couple who owns the pet said they stopped at a feed shop and locked their keys in the car, requiring the 9-1-1 call for help, according kiro7.com.

Firefighters were able to gain access to the vehicle and reunite the wallaby with its owner according to a tweet by Graham Fire & Rescue
