Warrensville Heights firefighters were dispatched a vehicle that struck a building with a person trapped.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Firefighters rescued a woman after a vehicle crashed into a nursing facility Friday in Warrensville Heights.

Crews were dispatched around 10:40 a.m. for a report of a vehicle that struck a building with a person trapped, according to the Warrensville Heights Firefighters Local 1591 social media page.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and found a woman pinned beneath the vehicle. She was rescued using hydraulic tools.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to free the woman, who was trapped beneath the vehicle.

Paramedics transported the woman to MetroHealth Medical Center in stable condition.

Two other people — including the driver — were also taken to local hospitals with minor injuries, fire officials said.

The East Tech Rescue Team was later dispatched to assist with what officials described as a structural collapse response involving a vehicle into a building.

Three people, including the driver and a woman who was pinned beneath the vehicle, were taken to the hospital.

Once on scene, East Tech team members installed a single two-post shore system and boarded up the nursing facility to help stabilize and secure the structure.
