Riverside firefighters performed a technical rescue to get a Husky back with his owners.
Teddy was chasing a cat Friday when he jumped into a canal and became trapped, OnSceneTV reported.
He was scared and eluded the firefighters for about an hour before they were able to catch him.
Firefighters rigged a pully system and used a ladder truck to gingerly lift him out.
His owners were happy to have Teddy back safely.
