TN Tractor-Trailer Barrels into House

Nashville firefighters needed to extricate a person from another vehicle that was involved in an accident with the tractor-trailer, which slammed into a home.

Tennessee firefighters performed a vehicle extrication after a tractor-trailer barreled into a house Thursday.

The accident happened shortly before 2 p.m. in Nashville's Donelson neighborhood, the Nashville Tennessean reports. A tractor-trailer and an SUV were in a collision at a nearby intersection, which then caused the semi to crash into the house.

"No one is trapped in the home or semi," the Nashville Fire Department stated in an online update. "However, we are actively extricating a patient from another involved vehicle."

The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital for neck and back pain, according to the Tennessean. Two other people in separate vehicles refused treatment.

No one was home at the time of the collision. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
