A child who went missing after a Kentucky Amish family’s horse-drawn buggy was swept away in flooded waters earlier this week has been found dead.
The child was found around 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, according to WKYT-TV.
"All search and Rescue crews are safe and will be leaving the area now that their mission is done,” Bath County Judge-Executive Bobby Rogers said Saturday in a Facebook post. "Please continue to pray for the family. I for one appreciate all efforts made, along with those volunteering to recover this child.”

There were six passengers in the buggy. The adult passenger was able to get to the bank and call for help. Four children, all siblings, were pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner’s office.
The five children and an adult were crossing a low water bridge along Adams Road on Wednesday when the carriage was swept away in the water.
Helicopters were called in to try to locate the missing child. Dozens of volunteers and emergency personnel searched for the missing child in muddy conditions and heavy rain, according to WKYT.
