Boston Firefighters Rescue Man from Water Near Bridge

Crews donned survival suits to save the man who was clinging to a pylon in the water Saturday night.

Boston firefighters rescued a man hanging onto a bridge pylon Saturday night.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. at the Summer Street bridge, near Melcher Street, according to the Boston Fire Department. Firefighters entered the water in survival suits and used a safety ring to pull the man to safe ground. 

The man was taken to the hospital, but his condition was not released.
