A New York firefighter carefully crawled across thin ice to save a dog stranded in icy water this week.
Eastchester crews responded to a call about a dog trapped in a frigid pond at a golf course, the firefighters union stated in an online update. Firefighters used specialized ice water rescue equipment to reach the dog and bring him safely to dry land.
