Dallas Firefighter Dies After Falling Ill While Exercising

A 45-year-old Dallas Fire Dept. Driver/Engineer became ill at home several hours after his shift ended and died at a hospital for an as yet undetermined cause.

A 45-year-old Dallas Fire Dept. Driver/Engineer became ill at home several hours after his shift ended and died on Wednesday, March 23, at a hospital from an as yet undetermined cause.

According to the U.S. Fire Administration, Marco Davila was exercising at his home, within 24 hours of the end of his shift in which he responded to emergencies, and became ill. He was transported and died several hours later. The USFA has determined the incident is a line of duty death.
