July 31--Battle Creek firefighters got quite a surprise when they woke up one morning this month and found a naked woman on top of a vehicle inside their station.
Michigan Live reported that police launched an investigation to determine how the woman wound up inside Station #6 at 2401 Capital Ave. on July 19, but that they did say none of the six firefighters who were sleeping at the station at the time was suspected of being involved. There were no overnight calls and the firefighters conducted their final check of the building at about 10 p.m. the night before.
The woman was taken to Bronson Battle Creek hospital for evaluation, but police say she left before providing her name or any other information. How she came to be at the station or what happened to her prior to the incident remains unknown.
