FFs Assaulted after Driver Plows into IN House

A driver who plowed into a home in Indianapolis on Saturday punched and head-butted one responding firefighter and bit another on the hand.

A driver who plowed his vehicle into a house in Indianapolis later assaulted three firefighters who responded to the scene.

WTHR reports that the incident happened after the driver crashed into a duplex at East 16th Street and Linwood Ave. on Saturday morning.

The driver, who was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries, assaulted three firefighters who responded to the scene. One of the firefighters was punched and head-butted in the face, a second was bitten on the hand and spit on, and the third was spit on in the face.

All three firefighters were transported to be checked on, and the Indianapolis Fire Department said the one who was punched and head-butted would likely be off work for two shift days.

Metro Police did not say if the driver was taken into custody after receiving medical treatment.
