Two GA Firefighters Hospitalized after Fire

Dekalb County firefighters responded to an apartment fire with reports of people trapped Sunday morning.

Two Dekalb County firefighters were hospitalized Sunday morning in a blaze that damaged six apartments. 

Firefighters responded at 8:10 a.m. to the apartments on Oak Shadow Lane with a report of people trapped, according to a post on the Dekalb County Fire Rescue Department's Facebook page.

Crews searched the building and no occupants were found trapped as firefighters evacuated the building.

Two firefighters were transported to Grady Health with heat exhaustion.

One person suffered minor burn injuries.
