Heavy winds toppled numerous utlity poles and dropped power lines that trapped Rogers firefighters in their apparatus Wednesday.
Firefighters were traveling on Walnut Street when the wind blew over four power poles, which dropped energized lines on the pumper.
The crew had to wait for assistance from Southwestern Electric Power Company to secure and remove the lines, according to KNWA Fox 24.
No firefighters were injured and the truck was not damaged.
Southwestern Electric Power Company reported approximately 3,000 customers were impacted by the outage.
