Hit-and-Run Driver Strikes Two VA Firefighters

Two Alexandria firefighters were struck by a driver who fled the scene as they were wrapping up an EMS call about 4:15 a.m.

Two Alexandria firefighters were injured Christmas Eve morning when they were struck by a driver who left the scene.

The firefighters were finishing up at the scene of an EMS call about 4:15 p.m. when they were hit at South Reynolds Street and Edsall Road, according to WJLA.com.

The firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital. They were released later in the day.

Police are looking for a Jeep Cherokee that fled from the scene.
