NC FF Released from the Hospital after Being Shot

Winston-Salem Firefighter Ross Flynt was released from the hospital after being shot at a local restaurant.

Winston-Salem Firefighter Ross Flynt was released from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist after he was shot at a local restaurant.

On Wednesday, Flynt was released to the cheers of his co-workers and hospital staff.

“Engineer Ross Flynt is headed home from the hospital! Thanks to the staff at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist for taking great care of Ross. We are grateful for the support from our community,” Winston-Salem Fire Department tweeted.

Flynt and his crew were eating outside Kermit's Hot Dog House when a car entered the parking lot and the occupants opened fire injuring him.

Flynt and one civilian were struck by bullets and transported to the hospital for treatment, two men were arrested in connection with the shooting.
