Houston Firefighter Flown to Hospital after Medical Emergency During Transport

The Houston firefighter experienced a medical emergency while transporting a patient.

After suffering a medical emergency while transporting a patient, a Houston firefighter was flown to the hospital for treatment.

According to the Houston Fire Department, the ambulance was enroute to HCA Kingwood with a patient when the firefighter fell ill. 

The member was transported to a Kingwood hospital where medical officials said they needed further treatment. 

A Life Flight helicopter was used to transfer the firefighter to Memorial Hermann in the Medical Center.

"Please pray for him. We will provide more information here when we have it," IAFF Local 341 posted on Facebook.
