Blood test results have cleared Firefighter Andrew Vanhecke, 37, who was driving the fire truck when it veered off the road and rolled over into a ditch, The Marshall Independent reported Monday afternoon.
Firefighter Patrick Remiger, 43, who was ejected from the rig, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Vanhecke and his six-year-old son, Beaux, were injured in the wreck that occurred while returning from homecoming activities at Lakeview School.
Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christianson said the crash report was amended after the blood results were received.
