The New Haven-Adams Township Fire Department, Huntertown Fire Department and the Washington Township Fire Department have been awarded a regional grant for the Fiscal Year 2017 Assistance to Firefighters Grant in the amount of $524,481.
The grant has allowed all three departments to update their Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) to the current National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. The regional grant covered 90 percent of the total cost of $557,499.76 for all equipment, leaving the departments responsible for 10 percent.
