Philadelphia Firefighter, Pumper Hit by Suspected Intoxicated Driver

Philadelphia officials said the driver struck Engine 68's rig, a firefighter and several parked vehicles.

A firefighter and several vehicles, including a pumper, were struck by a suspected intoxicated driver in West Philadelphia Monday morning.

Firefighters from Engine 68 were at the scene of a call on Osage Avenue when the vehicle struck the apparatus, firefighter and parked vehicles, NBC10 Philadelphia reported.

Police told that the firefighter's foot was run over and they were transported to Penn Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.

On the suspicion of intoxication, police took the driver into custody.
