Ingalls, OK, Firefighter Back Home, Walking after Rollover Crash
An Ingalls firefighter has returned home after suffering a broken back and neck when his fire apparatus crashed earlier this month.
Josh Contreras was seriously injured when his fire truck suffered a tire blown tire, sending him and Jace Wilson to the hospital. Contreras is now able to walk, News9.com reports, but his recovery will be lengthy, fire officials said.
Wilson was already released from the hospital.
The two firefighters were returning from an incident when their rig rolled over several times and ended up in the woods. One of them was extricated by Stillwater firefighters before being taken to the hospital.
